Abstract
The results of a numerical study of the effect of installing 30–60 ° impermeable screens on the effective operation of steam turbine angle control valves are presented. As a result of CFD modeling, it was determined that the installation of a screen opposite the inlet nozzle allows the flow to be redistributed before it enters the valve channel, as a result of which the coefficient of losses in the diffuser and the relative pressure drop across the valve are reduced by 50%.
