Abstract

In the process of testing the GPA-C-6.3A-type gas compressor unit, using a closed-loop stand, PJSC “Sumy Machine Building NPO” obtained the characteristics of the natural gas centrifugal compressor (CC) and driving gas turbine engine for different operating modes. Data on hydraulic losses in the air-intake and exhaust paths of the GPA-C-6.3A/56-1.45-type turbo-compressor unit, which affect the energy efficiency of the gas turbine drive, are obtained. These data showed that with the design mode of CC operation, polytropic efficiency (EF) reaches 85%, and the effective engine efficiency at the nominal mode of operation is 30%, which corresponds to the technical specifications for the creation of the unit.
